  1. So voting for Constitutional Amendments constitutes a Constitutional Convention, is that what you’re asserting?

  2. Dear PH, Thank You for your E-mail and all the work that You do. I will not be able to attend. I live in Chuck Schumer Territory.  Yikes!  Coca Cola had a con con once.  Remember when they changed “Classic Coke” to the “New Coke.”  How did that work out?  The only difference, “Coca Cola” realized their mistake, corrected it, and went back to the original/intent recipe.  Unfortunately if we change our recipe/Constitution, we will not have a chance to go back.

I have ALWAYS pointed out that in order to be an NBC, one need not be born in this Country – location of birth is irrelevant. The relevant facts are the citizenship of one’s parents. If they are citizens, their baby – who succeeds to the condition of his parents – is “born” a citizen. This is what Vattel clearly stated and I pointed out in my paper on this topic.

But the ignoramuses out there who insist that one must be born in this Country in order to be an NBC! It is immoral to pontificate on matters of which one is ignorant.

The sentiments of Mr. Locke on this subject go much further. “’Tis plain,” says he,q “by the law of right reason, that a child is born a subject of no country or government. • I have to admit, the proponents of a Constitutional Convention are giving the democrats a good run for their money in the baseless accusation dept.

Just finished looking at the books Rob John likes to read according to his Gravatar Bio. If we are to take him at his word, then he is quite familiar with our founding documents and philosophy in general. Strange that someone as learned as he would offer such tripe…

I was going to suggest that the fine people of Kentucky drag their two U.S. Senators to hear you speak, but I highly doubt their problem is with learning.

Rand Paul supports the BBA! Set them straight PH!

        • Yes, I always wondered what people saw in Rand Paul – he seems to me to be the typical gutless unprincipled and ignorant RINO – who supports a BBA and a convention and who never read the Declaration and Constitution.

I don’t know anything about Rob John but do know that many people claim to have read works that they never read or didn’t understand – judging from what they say about them. Also, when dealing with people who spout COS talking points, one never knows whether one is dealing with operatives who know what they are doing or with the “true believers” (the ones Eric Hoffer wrote about) – or as Nietzsche called them, “resentful squint-eyed souls”.

          • Are you arguing that the only convention authorized in the United States Constitution is not constitutional?

In one sense you are correct. Considering that a Convention of the States is made up, no one is PROPOSING a Constitutional Convention. Yet a Constitutional Convention is what we will get.

Smacks of Orwellian double-speak to me.

        • Are you unaware:

          1. That there is only one convention for “proposing amendments” – the one provided by Article V?
          2. Throughout the past decades, it has been called by different names: An Article V convention, a constitutional convention, a con con. But it’s all the same convention – no matter what you call it.
          3. In a speech Rob Natelson gave on Sept. 16, 2010, he announced that he would no longer call what he wanted a “constitutional convention” – henceforth, he would call it, among other things, a “convention of states”.

Here is his speech: see top of 2nd page: http://constitution.i2i.org/files/2012/01/STATE-APP-CONVENTION-METHOD-CooleyLR.pdf

Confess! You fell for a marketing gimmick!

And the only misinformation being put out is put out by those pushing for a convention: All their claims are demonstrably false.
