Understanding the Constitution

Alan Keyes and Publius Huldah connect the dots behind the push for an Article V convention

Listen and learn the connection between the USMCA “Trade Agreement”, the North American Union, an Article V Convention, and red flag gun confiscation laws. There is a coordinated plan to take our Constitution away from us. But you can help stop the Globalists.

  1. An Article V Convention of States can ONLY propose amendments. No other action is legal or Constitutional.

There is no way that a convention of states can change our Constitution without submitting the proposed changes for ratification by three-quarters of the state legislatures.

All this fearmongering over a legitimate Constitutional alternative to Congress proposing amendments is nonsensical fearmongering of the worst kind.

It is just as likely that Congress would attempt to rewrite our Constitution (indeed, it is probably more likely if Democrats were in power) than a Convention of States would attempt such a thing.

Bottom line… any proposed changes MUST BE ratified by three-quarters of the state legislatures.

All the rest is baseless fearmongering.

    • 1. Did you not know that the Declaration of Independence recognizes the “self-evident right” of a people to throw off their government and set up a new one? Did you also not know that we have already invoked that Right twice in our history? This Flyer lays it out – and I highlighted in yellow the portions relevant to your absurd assertion:

      2. And how can you be so foolish as to assert that a new Constitution would have to be ratified by the rules applicable to ratification of amendments to our existing Constitution?

You are obviously unaware of our history on this issue:

Our first Constitution was the Articles of Confederation. It provided at Article 13 thereof, that amendments to the Articles had to be approved by the Continental Congress and ALL OF THE THEN 13 States before the Amendments became effective.

But the new Constitution of 1787 provided at Article VII thereof, that it would be ratified when only nine (9) of the then thirteen (13) States had approved it. The 9th State (New Hampshire) approved the new Constitution on June 21, 1788. THAT is when the Constitution of 1787 – the one we have now – was ratified.

And you apparently also don’t know about the proposed Constitution of the Newstates of America. Article XII, Sec.1 thereof provides for ratification by a national referendum.

It is a basic Principle of Statecraft that a Constitution contains it’s own mode of ratification.

      3. Fearmongering? Far better minds than yours “feared” an Article V convention. See their words and where they said it here:

Ask yourself the question at the bottom of the page of this Flyer.

      4. All of the horribles of which COS complains constitute violations of our existing Constitution! Are you really so STUPID that you believe that we can fix violations of the existing constitutional limits on federal power by amending the Constitution?

Please check out the Dunning-Kruger effect. Your level of ignorance is so profound that you don’t know what you don’t know and don’t understand. All you can do is repeat COS talking points.

It is immoral for you to pontificate on matters of which you are completely & profoundly IGNORANT.

  2. Thanks to both of you for getting into the nuts and bolts of the Article V Convention Danger.
Almost a truthful exposure of the left’s conspiracy to overturn the Constitution.

  3. This is one of the most important issues unknown by an uneducated American (USA) public and could lead to their country’s demise while they are otherwise occupied. The information here is delivered in a well thought out, fact-based (therefore researchable and possibly refutable) non-opinion format, easily understood by all.

That there have been two previous “Art V” type events in the history of our country, that both resulted in completely new governing documents should cause anyone to pause and think that it could happen a third time. With that said who do you trust today to rewrite the Constitution? There is no one who could write anything like what we have.

With that said, how would adding amendments (if that was all they did in an Art V Convention) to a document (The Constitution) that is already being ignored/violated be of any use what so ever?
The proponents of an Art V Convention are either naive/uneducated or there is some other ulterior motive.

My thanks to the two of you for this thoughtful and thought provoking presentation!
