Understanding the Constitution

The TOP DOWN push for an Article V convention

By Publius Huldah

Ever since, some 60 years ago, the Ford Foundation produced the Constitution for the Newstates of America, it has always been the political elite and the big money who are behind the push for an Article V convention.  Today, people and politicians who posture as men of virtue and “conservatives principles” are being paid to support an Article V convention – e.g. http://www.dallasnews.com/news/texas-legislature/2017/03/01/major-conservatives-piggy-banks-behind-texas-obsession-amending-constitution

See also, http://le.utah.gov/house2/CofI/IVORYK1.pdf

Anyone who refuses to look into this is willfully blind and morally culpable.

The billionaires who are buying an Article V convention (Koch Brothers, George Soros), have no intention of limiting the power and jurisdiction of the  government over us!

The propaganda put out by the con-con lobby is able to take root in those who don’t know what our Constitution already says; don’t understand our Founding Principles; and don’t know our History on throwing off governments and setting up new ones.  We’ve already done it twice!

The enemies of our Constitution want to do it a third time.  Since they know you wouldn’t agree to it; they are telling you things which aren’t true.

Listen up:

Our Declaration of Independence says at the 2nd paragraph that a People have the right to throw off their form of government and set up a new one. We invoked that Principle in 1776 to throw off British Rule. We invoked that Principle again in 1787 to throw off the Articles of Confederation and the government it created, and set up a new Constitution [the one we have now] which created a new government.

People who don’t know that are unable to understand that if there is an Article V convention today, the Delegates can do the same thing! Throw off the Constitution we have and set up a new one which creates a new government.

For heavens sake, People! New Constitutions are already written and waiting in the wings for an Article V convention! Here’s one of them – it’s ratified by a national Referendum. The States don’t vote on it. The States are dissolved and replaced by regional governments answerable to the new national government. http://www.sweetliberty.org/issues/concon/newstates.htm#.WLrJEn98ExE

George Soros wants a Progressive Constitution in place by the year 2020. http://keywiki.org/Constitution_2020

George W. Bush, the Council on Foreign Relations, and others want to move the United States into the North American Union. Canada, the US, and Mexico are to merge and a Parliament set up over them. In order to do this, they need a new Constitution for the US to transform us from a sovereign nation to a member state in the NAU. How do they get a new Constitution? At an Article V convention.  How do they get an Article V convention?  Pay people who pose as conservatives to tell the American People that we need a convention to get amendments which will limit the power of the federal government.

And the people who don’t understand our Founding Principles, don’t know our History, and don’t know what our Constitution already says, fall for the subterfuge.

READ the Task Force Report on the NAU. Heidi Cruz was on the Task Force which wrote the Report:  http://www.cfr.org/canada/building-north-american-community/p8102

Americans! Wake up! You are being scammed and tricked and lied to. And bought and paid for politicians and charlatans are selling you into slavery.

God gave you a brain.  It is wicked for you to refuse to use it.

Update Jan. 12, 2018All US Presidents since (and including) Ronald Regan have been advancing our movement into the NAU. Watch this excellent 15 minute video: https://youtu.be/lNhp9H3yCsI

This is a Revolution against us by the global elite. This push for an Article V convention is from the top down – it is how the Elite can impose their will on us.

Do not continue to unwittingly assist the global elite in enforcing their will on us!

  1. PH, just read the Preamble of the New States document. It exposes the true intention of the traitors proposing this document to replace our existing Constitution as they say nothing about Liberty, but do say they intend to “create an adequate and self-repairing government…”

It is clear they want to form an all-powerful government where all power is centralized with them and their puppets. If this does not put terror into the hearts of Americans, then they will get what they deserve. For those of us who are aware of their true intentions, we must expose this treason so it can be stopped before an Art V convention is “authorized”. If we do not then we are part of the problem just as much as those who are willfully ignorant.

I pray God will support our efforts in this critical defense of our Liberty.

    • I hope it won’t do to you what it has done to me – I literally lie awake hours each night trying to figure out how to explain this so that everyone can understand how EASY it is to impose a new Constitution if there is an Article V convention. Any new Constitution which is subject to a National Referendum, such as the Newstates Constitution, will be “ratified” if the people who control the voting machines want it ratified.

The People with open minds can grasp this quickly. But the COS bots’ minds are slammed shut. And most Legislators have heard only the pro COS side, and without money to get their attention, it’s difficult to get through to them. Still, some of them do read their emails! Thank God.

I watched live the debates on this in the Texas Senate Committee which passed it. It was such a phony dog & pony show. The big money behind this push for an Art. V convention has BOUGHT Texas politicians. See this http://www.pseagles.com/KochPAC to see the members of the Senate Committee who were bought by the Kochs who are financially backing this push for an Art. V convention; and this to see additional sums paid to Birdwell, the chief sponsor: https://www.dallasnews.com/news/texas-legislature/2017/03/01/major-conservatives-piggy-banks-behind-texas-obsession-amending-constitution

And the Texas Lt. Governor – man! He’s making out like a Bandit! The Governor has also been bought.

TEXAS NEEDS TO GET RID OF POLITICIANS WHO HAVE THEIR HANDS OUT TO THE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS.

I expect that like Aldrich Ames, they do it for the money.

I have your words and the Founding Father’s words, it is not an argument they can win without hiding the truth. You express what so many feel and you do it so well. No doubt, had you been around in 1787 we would be quoting you along with Jefferson, Madison, and Hamilton and the rest.

But they send their minions out to chant their talking points.

Disgusting! In a fair fight, we defeat them every time.

It’s only in closed hearings where the TRUTH is not allowed that they can get their stuff passed by legislators who haven’t heard the other side.

    • That’s what Alexander Hamilton said at the end of Federalist No. 85, http://www.foundingfathers.info/federalistpapers/fed85.htm

“I dread the more the consequences of new attempts, because I know that powerful individuals, in this and in other States, are enemies to a general national government in every possible shape.”

To set the historical context (of which COS minions are ignorant) of Federalist No. 85: It was published during mid August 1788. The Constitution was ratified several months earlier on June 21, 1788. But the anti-Federalists hated the Constitution and wanted to get rid of it. So they were clamoring for an Article V convention saying the new Constitution wasn’t perfect and we needed a new one. And they also claimed that amendments to the new Constitution were too hard to get. So in Federalist No. 85, Hamilton addresses those arguments of the anti-federalists.

Hamilton “dreaded” an Article V convention because he knew that even then we had enemies who wanted to get rid of it. And the only lawful way to get rid of it is, of course, at an Article V convention.

      Yes, they are our “enemies”.

And the Fools who periodically show up on this site to parrot COS false propaganda are morally culpable because they refuse knowledge and Truth. As we have constant proof from their posts.

A telling moment was when Mark Levin’s book ‘The “Liberty” Amendments’ was released. Suddenly many of the “conservatives” in the media were repeating the COS talking points verbatim.

Funny how they never tried to rally their audiences to demand Congress impeach and convict Obama, but would for fundamentally altering or abolishing the Constitution…

Toward the preservation of your government and the permanency of your present happy state, it is requisite not only that you steadily discountenance irregular oppositions to its acknowledged authority, but also that you resist with care the spirit of innovation upon its principles, however specious the pretexts. One method of assault may be to effect in the forms of the Constitution alterations which will impair the energy of the system, and thus to undermine what can not be directly overthrown. ~George Washington’s Farewell Address (1796)

And none of the “conservative” online papers or blogs will publish my work. We were kicked off Red State for exposing the “balanced budget” amendment; WND refuses to publish my work, but gave Rita Dunnaway, a COS shill, a weekly column. And on & on.

      • I’ve been following Rita Dunaway’s articles at WND. Like all COS agents, she is a piece of work. Her column from last week is a hit-job on republicans who are defending the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. She tries to make a correlation between us and progressive groups to inspire a reactionary response from the reader. To which you know better than anyone else has always been their modus operandi.

Naturally Dunaway conveniently forgets the fact that it was COS’s own Mark Meckler who teamed up with progressive professor Lawrence Lessig to promote a Article V convention. And Lessig in turn supports the progressive Wolf-PAC which regurgitates the same erroneous talking points as COS.

Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day. ~Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Norvell (1807)

  9. I can find no claims in the Federalist Papers addressing any fear of an Article V convention. I can see fears of a new Constitutional Convention, as they feared making a whole new Constitution was unlikely to be as good as the one they had. However, I only see positive stuff about Article V, including Hamilton suggesting that we use it if the federal government got out of hand.

BTW, Soros and the globalists are weakest at the state level (and generally even weaker at the local level, except in the big liberal cities). They are pretty strong at the federal level. Thus, an Article V convention is truly the only shot, other than actual shooting in a revolution, of saving America.

BTW, I DO happen to know about the globalists and their plans and all the various bad guys:

    • If you can’t find the objections to an Article V convention in The Federalist Papers, then you aren’t familiar with The Federalist Papers!

Read No. 49 – James Madison speaks at length as to why the federal convention of 1787 was safe; but why another convention would be dangerous.
Read No. 85 – especially the last para – and you will see why an Article V convention filled Alexander Hamilton with “dread”.

A horrible problem we have is that Americans have been so dumbed down by the government schools that they can no longer read writings on the level of The Federalist Papers with comprehension. They are ignorant of even the Basic Principles of how to read with comprehension.

I challenge you to identify the Federalist Paper (and paragraph) where Hamilton said we should use an Article V convention if the federal government got out of hand.

You obviously don’t know what the Federalist Papers say on this issue! I do. So don’t try any bs where you chant the lying pro-convention line on this. They exploit the ignorance and gullibility of people to get them to tell lies for them! Are you a mere tool in the hands of the unscrupulous?

Warnings AGAINST an Article V convention by Hamilton, Madison, Justice Arthur Goldberg, Chief Justice Warren Burger, and Justice Antonin Scalia are here – along with the links to where they said it: https://publiushuldah.files.wordpress.com/2017/02/4-bullet-points-for-wy.pdf

Warnings AGAINST an Article V convention by other eminent legal scholars are here: http://leg.mt.gov/bills/2007/Minutes/Senate/Exhibits/jus71a15.pdf

COS was able to recruit you because you do not understand the Founding Principle that a People have the right to throw off their government and set up a new one; and you do not know that we have already done this twice in our history – as set forth in my post to which you have commented. The last time we threw off a Constitution was during 1787. The federal convention of 1787 was called by the Continental Congress on Feb 21, 1787 for “the sole and express purpose of revising the Articles of Confederation”. But the delegates ignored their instructions and wrote a new Constitution which created a new government.

They were also able to recruit you because you don’t know that our Constitution already limits the federal government to a tiny handful of enumerated powers. Here’s the list of delegated powers over the Country at Large: https://publiushuldah.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/chart-showing-federal-structure-3-1-part-a2.pdf The problem is that The People don’t know the list of enumerated powers by heart; and so everyone ignores the existing constitutional limits on federal government power. So a person has to be an ignoramus and a total “non-thinker” to believe that Amendments can control governments which already ignore the Constitution.

And to continue to believe lies when one has been presented with the Truth is wicked – and blood will be on your head if you do not repent of refusing Truth and adhering to lies.

Americans are gullible: All a person has to do is wear Christianity on his sleeve and Christian Americans will believe everything he says.

Some who are active are obsessed with minor issues (smart meters, fluoride, new taxes, etc.) they can get their minds around and don’t want to hear about the DISASTER which is ahead for us if there is an Article V convention.

If there is an Article V convention, a new Constitution will be imposed. THEN the question will be whether Americans docilely move into the new world order OR whether there is an armed rebellion. If the latter, millions will most likely die.

The Question which will soon be answered is this: Are Americans too STUPID to be free?

  12. Ms. Huldah, we are bashing our heads against a brick wall trying to educate people about an Article V Convention or even the Constitution in general. There are many kids where I live, grade school and high school age, whose Families immigrated to the U.S. about three to four years ago, from the Ukraine, who tell me that they aren’t being taught anything about the Constitution, and when I try to explain to them what various Articles and Amendments mean, they tell me, “That isn’t what our teachers said.” I have given many of them the URL to your blog and told them they will find the truth there. It is a sad fact that we have lost control over our education system a long time ago. We are at the point now where it is the blind leading the blind.

    • Good Morning, dear Abouna Gregori!

Yes, with public education, we opened the great gates to hell in this Land.

And it appears that the Clergy in America, since the early 1800s, when the Unitarians started pushing for public education, generally don’t seem to know that The Creator God who – as recognized by our Declaration of Independence – endowed us with unalienable Rights; also assigned to parents specific responsibilities to their children. Parents are to:

      Provide for their children’s physical needs: 2 Corinthians 12:14; Proverbs 13:22; 1 Timothy 5:8; 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12.

      Provide for the education & moral instruction of their children: Proverbs 1:8-9, 6:20-21, 13:1, 22:6 & 23:19-22; Genesis 18:19; Deuteronomy 4:9-10 & 6:1-7; Ephesians 6:1-4; 2 Timothy 1:5 & 3:15-17; & they are to

      Discipline their children: Proverbs 13: 24, 15:5, 19:18, 22:15, 23:12-14, 29:15-17; Hebrews 12:5-11; Colossians 3:21.

I talked to a Friend who is a State Legislator about abolishing public education, and was told that the “education lobby” in this Country is so HUGE that dismantling the public schools would be difficult. People in the vast education bureaucracy and those teachers who – for the most part – corrupt the minds & morals of our children all want to keep their jobs.

I don’t accuse the teachers of knowingly corrupting the minds and morals of our children. But I do accuse them of blindly following orders and their Teachers’ manuals; of self-induced moral blindness; and of COWARDICE.

Of course, I expect there are some extremely fine teachers in the government schools. I actually had 3 of them!

If we had “free schools”, retired citizens could donate their time to teach; the parents of the students could be teachers’ aides, hall monitors, playground monitors, cooks, janitors, etc. Philanthropists could donate use of buildings.

I would love for ALL children to have the benefit of the home schooling I got from my Papa. I was in the ghastly public schools, but it was my Papa who taught me Logic and analytical thinking starting about the time I learned to talk!

It seems that inner city poor parents WANT their children to get a good education.

If a law can be created by the stroke of a pen, then by God, it can be undone by the stroke of a pen. By allowing the NEA and other teacher’s unions and teachers themselves to have free reign over our children, and by kow-towing to the various Boards of Education, WE as parents are failing our children and shirking our God given responsibilities. If I’m reading the declaration correctly Thomas Jefferson stated they chose to alter their system not abolish it.

“…and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.”

This gave us the articles of course.

But, would it be correct to say we then altered that system, or that we abolished that system with the convention that gave us our current constitution.

Amendments proposed by the states, exactly like amendments proposed by congress, then require ratification by 3/4 of the states. ConventionofStates.som is a grassroots group of thousands of conservative patriots who understand we have a runaway federal government and this is the Constitutional solution the framers took the time to create.

      2. The Constitution already limits the federal government to a tiny handful of enumerated powers. Everyone ignores the existing limits in the Constitution. So how does an amendment limit a federal government – and State governments – and a People – which already ignore the Constitution?

      3. One of the biggest lies ever told is that COS is grassroots. The big global money is behind it: E.g., http://www.dallasnews.com/news/texas-legislature/2017/03/01/major-conservatives-piggy-banks-behind-texas-obsession-amending-constitution

When you use the word “we” in reciting the history of throwing off bad rulerships, you ought to get specific about the meaning. “We” doesn’t mean merely “the people.” It means delegates from and electors of the states. At the time, that meant the responsible free white adult (over 21) male citizen “propertied gentry,” and “aristocracy” not ordinary laborers, housewives, slaves, people of color. Those were generally community leaders of high esteem, good education, and demonstrable responsibility.

The so-called “people” of today includes the foregoing PLUS the abysmally ignorant, the stupid, housewives, the financially irresponsible, addicts, petty criminals, and anyone other than children under 18, felons, people adjudged mentally incompetent, and non-citizens. The founders never intended that such a motley lot have a say in government, either as electors or as delegates or as elected or appointed officials.

Remember that the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence starts with two lies: that all men are created equal and all have the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, irrespective of the extent of their individual responsibility. Democrats and leftist liberals have striven ever since to force our nation to include everyone possible in the electorate without regard to individual responsibility. That’s why a constitutional convention will spell disaster for the American Republic.

    • No. There is no lie. All men are equal before the Law. The Bible is clear that Justice is not to favor the rich or the poor, or highborn or lowborn. In that sense all men are EQUAL. Neither the Bible nor our Framers claimed that all men are equal in gifts, talents, abilities, virtue, etc. But the Stupid are entitled to Justice before the Law to the same extent as the Wise. And the Stupid and the Wise are both accountable to God.

Please try not to be such an elitist who looks down on “housewives” and other such lowlifes! If I could do what I wanted, I would be a housewife.

So try to restrain your contempt for those who are not as worthy as you.

At Article 1, Sec. 2, clause 1, the States retained power to set qualifications for voters. They surrendered this retained power out of ignorance and cowardice.

  20. Thank you, Publius Huldah, for continuing to speak out about this. Too many conservatives are being duped.

    • Those who get duped – and stay duped – are morally culpable. Because they REFUSE Truth.

All of us have been deceived at times. A wise and moral person doesn’t refuse to look at the FACTS which SHOW that he has been deceived.

  21. you are confusing people…there are two ‘conventions’ being sought…one, commonly referred to as the ‘con con’ and the other ‘CoS’…they are very different matters…now you throw in Article V…you need to constantly educate people before you try to lure them into your way of thinking.

    • Well, Barbara, let’s start with educating you!

Read Article V of our Constitution; then look at these Questions and Answers:

      1. Does Article V provide for a convention for proposing amendments?
      Answer: Yes.

      2. What is this Convention called in Article V?
Answer: No specific name is given for it.

      3. Since it’s provided for in Article V of our Constitution, would it reasonable to call it “an Article V convention”? or a “constitutional convention”?
Answer: Well, duh, yes. Either of those would be legally correct terms.

      4. Always look up terms in reputable references! Black’s Law Dictionary defines “constitutional convention” as: “A duly constituted assembly of delegates or representatives of the people of a state or nation for the purpose of framing, revising, or amending its constitution.” http://thelawdictionary.org/constitutional-convention/

      5. Who “calls” this Convention provided for in Article V?
      Answer: That would be Congress.

      6. What is the significance of the fact that the Constitution delegates to Congress alone the power to “call” a convention?
Answer: Since the power to “call” the convention is delegated to Congress; and because Art. I, Sec. 8, last clause, delegates power to Congress to make the laws necessary & proper to carry out the powers delegated in the Constitution; Congress has the power to organize and set up the convention it “calls” pursuant to Article V.

      7. Where does Art. V delegate to the States the power to control the convention called by Congress?
Answer: It doesn’t. You have been lied to.

      8. This chart shows who has the power to do what respecting an Article V convention: https://publiushuldah.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/myth-v-fact-chart-caavc1.pdf
Print out the chart and study it. It sets forth the Truth.

But of course! If YOU find any substantive errors in the Chart, please do point them out along with links to original source documents which prove your position.

      • Actually you are wrong. Article V allows for 2/3rds of the states to call for a convention of states.

        • Chris, quote the provisions in Article V which:

          1. Allow the states to “call” for a convention; and
          2. Provide for a “convention of states”.

You have been lied to. Shame on you for gobbling up the lies and repeating them!

    • It is so sad that Americans are so ignorant and gullible. They don’t think things through to the end. If something sounds good on the surface, they are all for it.

      • Whats your solution to our runaway federal government? A convention of states is federalism. Would you propose more centralized government policy?

        • “Federalism”?

          1. Define “federalism” and link to your source for the definition.

          2. Cite the constitutional provision for a “convention of states”.

          3. List the enumerated powers delegated to the federal government over the Country at large.

          4. Learn about the “either or” fallacy which you committed in your comment.

          5. If you don’t know what our Framers said over & over about what to do when the federal government usurps power, then you are ignorant indeed: In nutshell, the remedies our Framers advised were nullification and as the last resort, armed resistance by the Militia of the several States.
For nullification, read these and click on the hyperlinks to the original source documents: https://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/category/nullification/
For armed resistance by the State Militia see Federalist Paper No. 28 (last 5 paragraphs) and Federalist No. 46.

It is a big problem that Americans have been so dumbed down in the government schools that they can no longer comprehend The Federalist Papers. However, Mary E. Webster has excellent “translations” in modern English: One is on 12th grade level; the other is on 10th grade level.

  23. I have tried, once again, to unsubscribe from this email. Publius Huldah is right to warn about forces that would want to completely change our country. However, she is wrong about the 1787 Convention as “throwing off” the Confederation. Also, there is no need for an Article V Convention for any group to rise up and attempt to throw off the current Constitution. Further, any group attempting to hijack a properly called Article V Convention will gain no benefit from the effort stemming from Article V.

    • Well, do let me show you how to Unsubscribe! On the automatic notice you get, scroll down to the next to the last paragraph from the very bottom: see where it says, “Unsubscribe”? It’s in blue type. Clink on that and presto! you are unsubscribed.

But before you go, never to be heard from again on this site, please answer these questions:

      1. Do you really not know that the Constitution of 1787 and the new government it created, replaced the Articles of Confederation and the government it had created?

      2. Since you are presenting yourself as an expert on Statecraft: describe the methods, lawful and unlawful, for getting a new Constitution for this Country. Be sure to cite and link to specific examples in your answer.

      3. What are you trying to say in your last point?
