Oh, I make errors like that all the time: I put “right” instead of “write”, misuse words, and some things I have to look up every single time. “effect” or “affect” is one thing I have to look up every time. “complement” or Compliment”. People mix up “rein” and “reign” all the time. I have. So I appreciate it when people politely correct me. While English is certainly my mother tongue – I trip up over words like that all the time….. obviously a sign of a superior intellect….
Update: A few minutes ago, I congratulated a friend from recovering from the “flue” which had him laid up in bed for a while!
